Our client is one of the world’s leading medical devices companies and is looking for a Senior Electronics Contract Engineer to support their New Product Development.

Initially for a period of 6 months with a competitive daily rate.  This is a great opportunity to break into the Blue Chip Contracting space.

With multiple train stations as well as an airport this is easily commutable from all across the country.

 

Key Responsibilities:

You will be involved in the whole PDLC process, including developing ideas, producing cost estimates and timescales and developing system designs from initial concepts.

On a daily basis, you will act as a lead for the electronic / firmware design and development of products & technology. Using product knowledge and problem solving abilities to support and guide other team members and departments.

You will review, analyse and approve both product design and technical documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory standards.

In this role you will supervise a team of electronic engineers and PCB CAD designers, assisting through the productions, quality, technical publications, service and business development stages of the process.

 

Required Skills:

Degree in electronic engineering or equivalent. 

8 years post grad experience.

A background in Medtronics.

Experience in system design from initial concepts.

Experience working within medical devices, specifically IEC62304 & IEC60601.

Extensive work with model based design tools, such as Matlabs, Simscape or Simulink.

Previously worked in PCB design ( Single, Double sided, multilayer, through hole and surface mount.)

As well as these skills, candidates will have proven experience of 

Technical Research

Applying electronic engineering principles.

Generating ideas and selecting the best way forward according to company requirements.

Problem solving

Working in a heavily regulated and audited environment 

Developing for electrical safety
