The role of the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of the introduction of new products into manufacturing. Working closely with the Design Engineers, you will ensure process capability to achieve the requirements and regulatory compliance of new product introductions and of changes to existing products.

Duties will include:

- Design, planning and commissioning of production line layouts/cells/equipment.
- Transfer and set up of manufacturing data, including all manufacturing documentation.
- Leading and documenting process verification and validation exercises in line with Design Control procedures.
- Provide ongoing support to maintain and improve production QCD.
- Design and implementation of component supply and finished product systems (e.g. Kanban, pulls systems etc.)
- Conduct Health & Safety, COSHH and PUWER risk assessments as required.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge relevant manufacturing processes (injection moulding, sheet metal etc.)
- Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement activities, Training, Quality investigations and Supplier selection.


- Relevant Engineering degree or minimum HNC/HND with relevant experience.
- 2+ years working in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Computer & IT literacy, familiarity with Office software tools.
