This post is responsible for the direct sales and promotion of the product range within Territory. 

The role involves strategically:

  • The role involves maximizing revenue potential from incoming customer enquiries, taking ownership of these where practical.
  • Sales support for in field Territory Managers, taking ownership of ongoing and existing opportunities as agreed with the TM, to attain monthly and annual targets.
  • Seeking opportunities from the database, via liaison with TMs based on last activity – reigniting potentially viable leads from the those that are abandoned
  • Seeking new opportunities proactively and working alongside Customer Experience team to deliver a sale focused Customer experience.
  • Reviewing Customer categorization and planning activity to grow our core customer base and seek business from low volume customers.
  • Key Account Management of Reseller/Integrators/OEM
  • Delivering and managing eSales

Main accountabilities

  • Shall implement and work to all applicable regulatory and quality requirements as stipulated within the  Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.
  • Shall implement and work to all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental requirements as stipulated within the HSE Manual, HSE Policies, and HSE Objectives.
  • General sales activities including lead/opportunity management, CRM, working closely with Territory Managers, to work as a team to maximize revenue per territory, by sharing resource and knowledge, planning product launches
  • Seeking new opportunities within the existing customer base (working alongside the TM), for example the identification of CCP expiry, or Service
  • (SMART) action plans to achieve unit growth
  • Create and present Sales Initiatives to the business, tracking performance, and feeding back regular updates. “SEVEN DAY OBJECTIVE” for example.
  • Seek ongoing knowledge of new products and product areas to gain a basic understanding of the technology

Any other duties, as required.

Education:

  • Ideally degree level qualification - desirable
  • Must have GCSE English language and Mathematics grade C or above (or equivalent) – essential

Professional experience:

  • Previous experience of sales and/or SSD technologies. Ideally with an understanding of the industrial and microscopy customer applications – desired

Competencies, skills, knowledge, mindset:

  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to present information in a structured and balanced way
  • Can use standard applications to process, obtain and combine information such as mail merges, databases etc.
  • Understanding of a technical sales process and CRM use
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Willing to travel and occasionally work unsocial hours

 

Physical Requirements:

  • The role requires you to be comfortable using a computer and phone for extended periods of time.
