Description

We are looking for a creative and hands-on Design Engineer to join our fast-paced and dynamic Product Development team; focusing solely on new product development, tackling challenges in the healthcare environment. This is an opportunity to take products incorporating complex electromechanical assemblies from early concept through to mass production.

Key responsibilities, duties and tasks

  • Develop new ideas from scratch, and create proofs of concept
  • Create 3D CAD models and build working prototypes in-house for evaluation and testing
  • Produce full product specifications for manufacture, including drawings, labelling and associated documentation
  • Manage pre-launch product testing

  • Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job, whether that be on-the-job training, in-house training or external training courses

Requirements

Qualifications and training

  • Experience working with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD program

Experience and knowledge

  • Hands-on small tools and bench experience including general metal and woodwork
  • Experience designing mechanical linkages

Skills and abilities

It is essential that the postholder has:

  • Ability to collaborate on activities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
